The hostel was awesome. The place is CLEAN, which I tend to be picky about when I stay at a hostel. The staff were really friendly, always willing to help. The free breakfast was good, as was the fact that they took you out everynight to a club/party for free. The lockers in the room made security easy. They have a nice open lounge where you can check mail, play ping pong (they have a table), chess or have a drink at the bar. It's only 5 minutes walk from the metro! Value for money for sure. Didn't enjoy my experience in this hostel. Wasn't cozy or fun...staff was nice but there was little sense of freedom as people were kicked out of the main common area at 1am. Didn't like the fact that they give you sheets to make your own bed...then take down yourself when you check out. First hostel that made me do this... We were a group of 5 girls and had a wonderful week in Barcelona! HelloBCN is a great hostel for young people who want to get to know Barcelona's nightlife without spending too much money. Rooms and bathrooms are clean and the staff are friendly! The hostel is only a short walk away from the Ramblas and the harbour, the kitchen is well-equipped and there are people from all over the world! Very recommendable!
