This is a great hotel. We really enjoyed its traditional Switzerland house feel of it. They also provides free breakfast with fresh bread, hams and fruits. On our checkout date, we had to leave before the breakfast hour to catch an early morning train. The owner packed a nice breakfast the night before for us. I HIGHLY recommends this hotel. This is pretty much the best hostel EVER. An amazing breakfast was included in the price and the staff was very friendly. We stayed in a private room for two nights and felt very secure. It was about a 15-minute walk from the Interlaken Ost train station. We wished we could have taken this hostel all over Europe with us! Becky, from USA ~ 8th Aug 2011

We booked a twin room, but were given a double room and not able to change because the hotel was full. We don't feel comfortable with it, but had no choice. I'm not sure if the problem is with hostels.com or the hotel itself. I hope it can be improved in the future, as for some customers the type of room is important. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful!Free breakfast was great.In a good location in town (15min walk to Interlaken Ost maybe even closer to Interlaken west train station).Cute old swiss building with restaurant below and an outdoor patio. Would stay there again in a heartbeat. Right next door to Interlaken-outdoor which has a ton of adventure trips daily. Sink in room.
