Very friendly and helpful staff. It has a lot of character and charm. Its within walking distance to the main square, shops and restaurants, but far enough away to get a good nights sleep. It feels more homely than an average hostel, which is great. Maya, from England ~ 19th May 2012

Excelente atención de su dueño y todo el personal, en un ambiente muy tranquilo. Estuvimos en una habitación doble con baño privado, muy limpia y cómoda... excelente! El baño estuvo bien, siempre con agua caliente, aunque a veces con poco caudal de agua, pero bien al fin. La relación Precio/Calidad no podría ser mejor. La ubicación no es la mejor, pero sólo se encuentra a 10 minutos caminando de la Plaza de Armas, en un barrio tranquilo, no hay problema por esto. 100% recomendable. I was so impressed with the service at this hostel. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. Cathy went out of her way to help me, as did Javier and the rest of the staff. The rooms were comfortable, and the hostel was nicely decorated and clean. Secure storage is secure and its really nice to be able to lighten your load if you are going on any treks. We came here during low season so the place was peaceful and calm for the most part.Staff is super friendly.Kitchen is somewhat small but always available.Breakfast is typically bread with jam and butter and tea or coffee.Every now and then they'll serve up pancakes and eggs.Rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean.Wifi is available but you might need to move around to get a good signal depending on what room you are in.There is only one computer available but downstairs is an internet cafe Ciro, from USA ~ 26th Mar 2012

Hostel Recoleta was a great experience for the price! The main square is a nice 15 min walk away. The staff was always very nice. Hot water is available all day long however pressure is a bit low, but hardly anything to complain about. The hostel has a beautiful garden and areas to chat with other people from around the world!
