First time we spent 3 nights there everything was OK but few days later when we returned for one night we got a room where the light swich was outside,in the common room near the stearway (almost fall down),we realised it only 10 o'clock in the evening and the common room was occupied by a chain-smoker company. This was a nice hostel with great location in the middle of the city. The staff was great and I went with a nice tour as well, not sure if this was arranged by the hostel. There was a nice common room with a great view on the top floor. Nicklas, from Sweden ~ 29th Aug 2011

Ideally situated behind the old fountain an right by the tram stop, it's a pretty charming building. The staff was nice and the dorm looked nice although the sink in the kitchenette was clogged and the light in the bathroom didn't work. THe number of people in the dorm seemed to increase day after day as the couches turned into bed, but the dorm was large enough for us not to feel too cramped. My boyfriend and I decided to stay at Hostel Posillipo because Lonely Planet recommended it. We were very puzzled with their recommendation as this hostel did not live up to their description. Whilst the hostel was in the middle of Bascarsija, as advertised, the building we stayed in was was not as 'close by' as the guide makes it out to be. It was more like a 5 minute walk, rather than over the road. The hostel owners failed to mention that we were staying in the sister building, instead, they Freya, from England ~ 19th Jul 2011

Located in the heart of Sarajevo this is a really good hostel primarily because the hotel owner gives a fantastic war tour (sarajevofunkytours)! You will see different sights from other tours and hear a personalized account of the '92-'95 conflict. On the downside it's a pretty small hostel with onle 1 dorm room so not the easiest to meet people if you are traveling alone and the washrooms weren't really clean.
