The staff were great!One of the best hostels I've stayed at and I've been all over Europe.Only tricky part is getting there-is just a sketchy walk at night from the light rail so would recommend a taxi if you're getting in late.Otherwise, food, help, friendliness, bathroom accessibility etc was great! City Hostel was the perfect place to stay for my first ever visit to Seattle.The staff is extremely helpful and the location really couldn't be any better. With the key card system, I felt safe and also felt that my belonging were secure.I loved Seattle and much of my positive experience stemmed from my stay here...just blocks from Pike's Place, the Space Needle, Belltown/2nd Ave....would recommend it to anyone, from single travelers to families needing an inexpensive option. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Seattle. The atmosphere is really nice especially the art painted rooms! Id go for the private room if you are going with another person.The rooms were very clean and so were the bathrooms. I could tell the clean everything many times throughout the day. The location was great to everything. Only downfall was that at nighttime there were a lot of shady people hanging around the hostel and bothering you. I loved this place! It's in a great neighborhood, not too far from the lightrail, Pike's place, the needle and MANY great restaurants, bars and clubs! The staff was awesome, providing great recommendations. The breakfast was good and filling (though the coffee could use some help ) ) We stayed in private rooms two days apart, so we got to see the difference (art wise) of two of the rooms, which was cool. The only thing I would suggest in the rooms is soap for the half sink, so you don't have Melody, from USA ~ 23rd Feb 2012
