Overall stay was OK though could improve on a few things.Firstly, the kitchen is poorly stocked and when I found out there was no can opener in the entire hostel not even at the bar, I suggested they should buy one which they seemed shocked about.Apparently people have been just opening can with knives even staff..... not safe.They generally lacked cooking ware and eating utensils with there one small kitchen. Also, although most of the staff were quite friendly, I had an incident with one at Vince, from Argentina ~ 18th Feb 2012

The staff were very friendly. They suggested alot and pushed hard on their sales of activities like the Bar Train, Bar Crawl, and Tango Hall. The check-in process took too long. Maybe I just came at a bad time but this hostel felt like a hotel more than a hostel. As a solo traveler, it wasn't very social. The staff wasn't very attentive and the prices for the events posted seemed a bit overpriced. The breakfast wasn't that great and the set up for the downstairs area felt cliquish and felt more like a lobby more than a social area. I ended up cutting my stay short and stayed at another hostel down the street that was cheaper and had better breakfast and atmospher Justin, from USA ~ 2nd Mar 2012

Great experience.I booked the single room and it was perfect (clean, comfortable bed and spacious). The staff were great at this hostel.....especially Sergio and Nacho who helped with the buying bus tickets & reserving the hostel in next destination in Argentina.The breakfast staff and cleaners were so friendly too. I did the pub crawl which was lots of fun and chance to meet other travellers. I have stayed at many hostels thru my travels and I was impressed with Hostel Suites Obelisco.
