This hostel is really great! The appereances is very nice, al in old chinese style. The rooms are very clean, and every day we got fresh towels and new toiletpaper. The room is luxury, the shower is excellent. The staff is helpful with booking trips around Tunxi (Huangshan-city). The hostel is located at the most beautiful street in Tunxi (Ancient street).

Love the staff at Koala Hostel!! They are very friendly, helpful, patient and accommodating. The Laojie location definitely has more character than the one by the train station, so stay here if you want a more "Chinese" feel. This is my second time staying with Koala in Tunxi (Huangshan City) and if I go back I will definitely stay again. Thanks for the great memories!

Excellent Hostel! Very nice atmosphere and GREAT showers! Nicely located in the centre of Huang Shan shi. Sadly the place scores poor in the fun factor, cause Beer is too expensive (12 yuan), coffee too (20 yuan) and bar closes at 23:00 so no partying here. But other than that, great hostel!

staff very nice and helpful - good air con - should tell people you can get a very basic dorm for 80yuan on huangshan top below shihai hotel instead of telling the only way to sleep there is payun hotel - but still very good place. gaelle - france

Solid hostel. Our room had poor air conditioning, but the staff was very helpful and quickly provided a room with functioning AC.

The best stay in Huangshan City. Very friendly staff who organise everything you need. The hostel is very convenient, good music in the retsaurant and nice to sit at the restaurants balcony overlooking the attractive old street.
