Regarding the price of the hostel, the location in great. Tokyo center is 25 min away. Its a bit claustrophobic but the staff anf the atmosphere makes it worth it. Jonathan, from Sweden ~ 27th Apr 2012

The owner and staff were very nice. It's a great place to meet people, but not so nice for a good night's sleep. My bunk was smaller than a single bed, and I couldn't stretch out my legs completely (I'm 5'8"/171cm).Like most hostels in Tokyo, JGH is about 20 minutes from downtown, and the last trains from Shibuya or Shinjuku leave before 1am, so use caution if you want to stay out later. But there's no curfew and it's close to Nishikawaguchi station (7-8 minute walk). The place is far away from subway station (around 20min walk), also it is very small and the night i spent there there was no heating u.u The only good stuff was the staff super friendly and the safe environment (it is a must since you are not provided any locker for your stuff). A very small old Japanese styled guesthouse. However, despite the very small rooms it was a very pleasant stay and it was very cheap as well. Mieko-san, the owner was very nice. The location is not bad, it takes ca. 20-25 min. to Ikebukuro. Hong-Hanh, from Denmark ~ 30th Sep 2011
