Jalan-Jalan Emas in Munich, Malesia

I really enjoyed my stay at Jalan Jalan and will definitely be recommending it as a place to stay for anyone planning on going to Melaka! It's a quirky hostel in the centre of town. Sam is a very good host. The place is clean in south east Asia terms. The private room does have a feel of a cement cell but with a window and mozzie nets. It's a very chilled out place to be with a great location especially at the weekend for the markets. katy, from England ~ 11th Aug 2011

The people, atmosphere, and building are charismatic, welcoming and homely! The best place to relax, meet other travelers and locals alike, and use as a base to explore the fabulous Old Chinatown area including Jonker street. Sam, the owner, is always cleaning, with no sign of bed bugs, or anything else nasty, in sight. He's also a gem of information and great for a laugh. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
