The hostel is very charming. Yvette & Manny are very welcoming & helpful with getting around NY. Yvette was very gracious about greeting us as we arrived a little late. LaSienna is kept very clean. The room we stayed in was very cozy & comfortable. We slept like a baby. We were able to go everywhere in the city within minutes via the subway. There's a 24 hr deli on the corner that make great sandwiches for breakfast or anytime. Overall is was great experience and we will come back! Gaynell, from USA ~ 26th Apr 2013

The whole experience was a very positive one. The staff was warm and very helpful. The common kitchen is very clean and well maintained (and well stocked with complimentary tea and snacks). It was more like I was a guest in someone's home than staying in a hotel. The environment is cozy, calm and quiet. Also, even though you're up in Harlem the D train express to downtown is very close by. It's also very easy to get to and from LGA from here on public transit. Would definitely come back again. It was a nice place, the location is good, very close to the train station. It's like you have anapartment in NY, the experience is very different from a formal hotel, but the diference is the interesting thing. I will stay again (of course don't expect a ritz in a hostel). This was a little Goldmine of a place.We loved it.My wife commented that it felt like coming home every night.It is only about 10-15 minutes from Rock Center and all the action by subway.Felt very comfortable.Manny and his wife were really great and take much pride in keeping their place clean and doing much to improve it.I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the city.Saw a few of the other rooms besides ours and they were all really nice and clean.Probably the cleanest hostel I ha Braydon, from USA ~ 18th Jun 2012
