Absolutely loved it! Edit was an amazing host. It's not for everyone especially if you always want quiet nights, but it was more like a traveling family than a hostel. We made an amazon eater dinner with about 25 people with 10 different nationalities. Femininely for a younger crowd lookin to meet people and have a good time. I ended up traveling with 3 others to the next stop after meetin them at las camas. The dog 'puzzle' is possibly the best animal on earth. Casey, from USA ~ 30th Mar 2013

We stayed in a private room. Edit kept reassuring us that it was a safe environment but someone's ipad was stolen from the living area while we were there and there wasn't a way to lock the door to our room. The septic system also broke while we were staying there and we were told it would be better to use the bathrooms of the supermarket 5 minutes away. There were dead cockroaches on the floor of our room. We left after one night and moved to a different hostel that was much cleaner in town. Michaela, from USA ~ 1st Mar 2013

My experience at Las Camas was amazing and unforgettable. The sense of community and genuine welcome that you feel upon arrival are a direct reflection of the wonderful hosts there, Chabba and Edit. The facilities were clean, and everything was in great working order. The thing I will never forget about my stay at Las Camas though is the amazing sense of community and the relationships and bonds I formed with the other people staying there. The owners are great and the place is worth the money. However, the people staying there party until 6am so it was hard to get any sleep. I changed hostle`s and stayed at Posada Jaco. It was only $15 per day and only 1 block from the beach and half a block from the main street. Rooms here are clean, secure and it s has great covered public area/garden and a small pool. Alright guys if you want a cool and fun place to stay with the ability to swim in a pool or the ocean and share some good vibes this is the place for you. I have traveled all over the world and this is one of the BEST hostels I have ever stayed in.It was the most relaxed atmosphere with great people.The location is great, there's a perfect little pool that stays cold even on the hottest days, and hikes, surfing, even yoga nearby if that's your thing.
