The stay could of been more enjoyable if the trailor had been renovated like the others. I was fooled by the pictures on the website to think that they were nice inside but we just got unlucky i suppose with this one specific trailor. Its cheap however so that was nice. We liked the breakfast which was free. As for the staff, they seemed a bit stand offish. Not rude but they could have been a bit more helpful in information and generally. Hostel is a little far out of Amsterdam but that's also a good thing. The shuttle service and the metro make it work. The bike tour is fantastic! brett, from Canada ~ 17th Aug 2012

Loved it! such a friendly little space and so much personality! You can go biking on the beautiful 2 lane roads across beautiful fields and farmlands, relax in the lake, and get to the sity in their shuttle. If u plan to stay out late then plan to spend a little more money for a cab, al else was great. Remember how amazing camp was? Welcome back to camp. This place is perfect for reading, writing, hiking, and biking. If your main goal is to see Amsterdam this is probably not the place (traveling back and forth is a pain) but if you just want to get away - go here. If you have food allergies this is the best possible place because they have all the kitchen basics so that you can make your own food. It was great for me. Karen, from USA ~ 15th Jul 2012

This hostel was a fun atmosphere but the location was terrible. Although the shuttle is reliable, there isn't always enough room when you need it even when there is a sign up sheet. Also the shuttle stops running at 1:30am meaning that if you want to go out, you must catch the train back before 1am. Things don't start getting good until 11pm latest in the city so that's two hours tops to go out which is not nearly enough time.
