Compared to the other hostel on Mana island I won't recommend Mana Lagoon Backpackers to anyone.. Ratu Kini is so much better value for your money, and clean! Veera, from Finland ~ 18th Jun 2012

This is not a good place to stay. The location is amazing, however, there are so many problems I do not know where to begin. The electricity went off at least three times a day, my sunglasses vanished in under a minute on the dinner table, suspected bedbugs, no hot water in the shower, shower and toilet not clean, no goodbye song, food in dodgy sauces, noise in the early mornings, nightmare!In the time we were therte, two couples checked out and went to Ratu Kin up further the beach. We were cheated into a room that was so bad we left immediately...it was not what we had booked. We were then promised a refund by the booking agent which never eventuated- as we paid all the money up front. I am currently writing to the tourism police, trip advisor, the lonley planet and the fijian tourism board about the place as it was so bad. I would suggest you take them off your website as the place is a disgrace.The owner has appartently not paid his staff in 2 months.The room itself was Kerri, from Ireland ~ 17th Jul 2010
