this is def a great place to stay in jerusalem with a great location. you get the benefit of being right across the street from the old city while also being on a main road that is an easy pick up for cabs and shuttles. there is a restaurant right around the corner that is cheap and really good

Great location, good interaction among guests. Free access to internet, coffee and tea. Was a great place as a base to travel throughout the area.

Quite a bad first impact: found room dirty (incl the toilet/bathroom) with not clean bedding, dull/run down outlook and not a window to open, we had to ask for new linen as well as towels, we also had to clean the room ourselves. Staff fairly available/
friendly at least, and met some interesting travelers too.

the site was nothing like the photo. Nothing at all like it.
There was no single room clean and ready. (as pictured in the web site - forget it )
There was a "more expensive " room for four they would "let"me use. The bunks were pathetic looking with worn gray blankets . The man who showed it quickly grabbed the dirty tissues out from under one of the pillows.
The staff was non existent. the man who seemed least physically fit and just a resident himeself, took one end of my suitc

very dirty place,no hot water in our room, space heater if your lucky, extremely smokey. Location was good in that it was right across from Damascus Gate.Free internet.Hashim- one of the workers, was very nice and helpful. People who stayed there were very friendly but again, everyone smoked and there was no ventilation.I would not stay here.maybe this was more for young people.

The staff just doesn't work at all in the hostel and spend all his time sleeping, watching TV and smoking. As a consequence, everything is really very dirty and they just don't care. There is one shower for 16 people (8 beds in 2 dorms). There was almost never hot water and it was in December-January, so we had to take a frozen shower every day in the middle of the winter, which was very hard ! I don't recommand at all this hostel, except fot its location and the security, but really try to find
