Corniglia is undoubtful the perfect base to wander around Cinque Terre and you can't go wrong if you take this friendly hostel, except for one grumpy guy at the reception. Martin, from Germany ~ 21st May 2012

Corniglia is the smallest of the 5 terres, located right in the middle and a great place to base out of if you plan on spending a few days in the area.However, it definitely is the smallest and quietest of the towns and not much of a party place. The directions to this hostel were a bit unclear but again, the town is tiny and so it wasn't too difficult to find although the entrance is way in the back and on the second floor, which is a little odd.The facilities are pretty typical - we stayed robyn, from Canada ~ 19th May 2012

I really enjoyed it at this location.Being in the middle of the five towns was great for hiking and the hostel itself, while not being anything spectacular, was good all around.Really enjoyed the large lockers.Wifi and breakfast not included. Jesse, from USA ~ 22nd Aug 2011

I has a great time at Corniglia. Out of 2 staff, the second was really nice and helpful. They provide just about everything- towel, alarm clock (with extra fee), secure locker, and more. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are great. People in my room were pretty awesome. Only downside- 400 steps to get up to the hostel (the shuttle only runs until about 8 at night).
