The hostel (which is also a hotel) is perfectly located in a beautiful building in the city center. Simple and clean rooms but bathrooms were always a bit dirty and I stayed there for 2 nights. They provide huge lockers for every person in the room, which is great at first sight, but becomes ridiculous once you've realized that your key works with every locker... As others have commented it is a big old echo-y place (so bring earplugs) but I enjoyed it's quirky character. Great location, nice staff, free wifi in the lobby (or the common area directly above the lobby). Directly across the street is a great little pizza place and behind and around the corner is an amazing restaurant serving local specialties. What a unique place.I absolutely loved it and it made our visit to Lucca.It was right inside the town wall in an old closter and is very close to the Roman Ampitheater which is the center of night life.Next time we are in Lucca we will stary there again. joseph, from USA ~ 25th Aug 2011
