The Staff at Ramses II hotel are extremly friendly as well as professional. The rooms and hotel are very clean and the staff answered all questions we had and gave us helpful tips about finding our way around Cairo.

The staff at Ramses II were fantastic! They were always happy to answer questions, provide recommendations, arrange transportation, or hand deliver water bottles to the room. On my last night in Egypt, I expressed my disappointment that I had never purchased any postcards. The employee on duty immediately made a call on his cell phone, and within 15 minutes, a stack of postcards was hand-delivered to me! I was thrilled! We arrived in Cairo at 2am with lots of hope but not much plan and only 5 days. By 3.30 we had the whole trip organised by the magical Mr Haitham. His recommendations fitted perfectly with our expectations and the ease with which everything was achieved was masterful. For anyone considering a tour or just a helping hand I cannot recommend Mr Haitham and his guides highly enough. They are brilliant. Nothing in our trip was a hassle, everything exceeded our expectations.

Haitham, at the front desk, is very helpful and will help you plan local trips with good drivers/guides. The hostel is in the busiest part of downtown (if that's what you're looking for!) and offers good, basic accommodation with nice people.

Overall this is a good budget hotel. It has decent beds, a TV and a/c. The Staff is very friendly, but does like to push their tours a bit. Our main complaint is that we always had to ask for everything multiple times (such as towels, sheets, and toilet paper). The staff was friendly about bringing it but it usually took three requests and we never did get more than one towel for the two of us or a top sheet for the bed. Regardless we would stay here again.

This is the best hostel in cairo. Very clean and the staff is very helpful. You can walk to the Museum and you are in the middle of everything. They also have tours at a very great price!
