it was a pleasant enough stay. for some reason i hadn't worked out that the cost was €90 rather than the €45 i had anticipated for both of us. anyway, the hostel is an apartment in a larger house in a quiet side road very close to the station, nothing special and really not designed for you to stay in the room. i don't remember even a wardrobe being in there. the check-in office is in a different place from the hostel, i think that is important. You can't beat the location, it's directly across the canal from the train station. The staff are super nice, the rooms have a nice old feel to them, my only complaint is that the beds are moderately uncomfortable, but don't let that deter you. Also, there's no real kitchen, as far as I know, just a hot water heater and a fridge. This can make cheap food difficult. Aaron, from USA ~ 29th Mar 2013

It's a bit far away from train station because the dorm I stayed in is different of the check-in desk. The check-in desk and the dorm is easy to find. The dorm is in kind of the center of Venice, so generally it's Okay. The mixed room I stayed in was really noisy as my roommates came back really late it's not the hostel's problem, butI suggest getting a smaller or private room. I wish there could be wifi connection.... Otherwise, it's clean and relatively cheap. :-） Tiannan, from China ~ 16th Nov 2012
