I spent a great week at Rock n' Bowl. Perfect location in the heart of Bristol, very endearing members of staff from all around the globe and a well-equipped kitchen for everyone to use. On weekends they provide you with free earplugs as 'the Lanes', the downstairs pub/club/bowling alley, play rather loud music until the late hours. Completely worth the price and I'll make sure to stay at the Rock n' Bowlhostel again the next time I visit Bristol. Linnea, from Sweden ~ 16th Apr 2012

The hostel itself was everything that was advertised and it wasn't that noisy, the rooms are old but clean &warm so you'll get over it. The directions need to be updated for it though, I found it difficult to find using them and had to ask people on the street. I would definitely recommend this hostel for a group. The shower/toilet/bathroom is always dirty (according to the street-shoes) and sometimes you have to wait a long time to enter the bathroom (too less for the amount of people). The living-room/kitchen is often loud and there are not enough seats and (electricity) sockets! Sometimes there are "bowling-nights", which are very noisy (but the staff had told us this before and it was possible to get some earplugs [for free]) Stefan, from Austria ~ 21st Sep 2011
