Shalimar Hostel in , Yhdysvallat

We thought we booked an hostel but we stayed at a hotel (which was not a bad surprise of course !). The room was one of a motel-style room with a big queen size bed & a door opening on the garden around the swimming pool. We had a great time there, being close to lots of chapels and 15 min walking of Fremont St area, a bit too much from the Strip if going by feet... The breakfast was not included but we could get one in a bar that is in the reception's hall for just $5/pers. Julien, from France ~ 20th Oct 2012

While definitely value for money, this is not a real hostel. Instead you get a room at Howard-Johnson Inn - which is very nice - but not a Hostel. There is no common room, no kitchen and it is difficult to meet other travelers. Although not a hostel it is a very nice place: Nice large and clean rooms, friendly and professional staff, swimming pool, laundry etc. If you want a cheap motel this is where to go.
