Sparkling Dolphins Inn Kyoto in Singapore, Japani

Awful looking hostel. Really wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The room itself wasn't that bad, but the air condition didn't work properly and the room was either too hot or too cold. There also wasn't a wireless connection that worked in our room and you had to pay to use the computers in the lobby, basically you had to pay extra for everything. This place is good if you just need a place to stay.Staff is helpful and friendly.The atmosphere seems more like a hotel.Overall, descent place to stay but not very fun. Shawn, from USA ~ 3rd Apr 2012

The staff were very helpful in giving extra information regarding restaurants and supermarkets and travel. We also appreciated the facilities provided for having breakfast. If you were there long term the washing machine would also be very useful. Julia, from England ~ 23rd Mar 2012

it must be said that we didn't actually stay at the Sparkling Dolphins Inn, They have you go to Hotel Ryokan Seiki to check in.There we were told that the room we were to stay at wasn't ready, so they would put us in one of the ryokan rooms instead.This room was clean, well laid out in japanese style, and overall very nice, there was a security issue with the door not locking, but the room door was in constant view of the front desk, and was a special case, we were told.Overall, a very good ex Connor, from USA ~ 23rd Nov 2011

Nice place but no discernable security or lock on the front door.No lockers either, but the dorms were clean and there was an okay amount of space for our backpacks under the bunks.Would have liked a bit more wiggle room to pack/unpack, but it's a great place if you only plan on staying for a night or two.
