Great place located right in the red light district. The cleanliness of the room's floor wasn't up to par. I decided to walk out of the shower barefooted and my feet were all black underneath. Other than that the bar was amazing and staff was friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to others who are looking for a budget place to stay. I was also lucky to stay in a private room so I didn't have to deal with a shared sleeping space which I think would of made my experience different.... Camika, from USA ~ 9th Sep 2012

The location couldn't be better, walking distance from the train station and in the hearth of Amsterdam. The staff is really friendly, always with a smile and willing to help. The hostel has an excellent atmosphere. One thing though, I stayed in 2 different rooms the first one was clean and in good condition, but the carpet on the second one needed a good cleanup, the room smelled bad. Generally a great place with friendly staff but it is quite strange that there is no wifi in the rooms and so you have to go to the noisy bar to access the internet. It is commendable that they thought of security and put lockable metal boxes under the bed but it is so cumbersome having to pull it out every now and then plus I got so many injuries scratching my legs on the boxes...why don't you just have wardrobe style lockers??
