The Alternative Hostel of Old Montreal in Addo, Kanada

Das Hostel ist zwar schön in der Altstadt gelegen, aber leider nicht besonders sauber bzw. gut ausgestattet Des Attribut "alternativ" passt aber irgendwie. Für Leute, die eine sehr alternative Erfahrung suchen vielleicht passend, für diejenigen, die einfach ein sauberes Bett und ein ordentliches Zimmer suchen, nicht so empfehlenswert. I was travelling around Canada when I reached Montreal and found the hostel on the internet. What a nice experience this was. I am in my mid fifties but I enjoyed the company of the young people and I have recommended my daughter to travel to Montreal and stay at the Alternative Auberge - she would love your place as well as her mother did. I found the Alternative a very friendly "boutique" hostel. The bi-lingual staff was friendly and helpful. The wooden bunk beds were wonderfully secure and quiet. I stayed in one of the six-room dorms and slept very well across three nights. The kitchen was fine, with a cheap breakfast each day and all you would need for home cooking, if you buy or bring your own provisions. The neighborhood is not so cheap, in terms of restaurants and bars, but very pretty and truly at the center of things. Li Maury, from USA ~ 23rd Nov 2011
