The problems with this hostel are well known, the dorms are not secure, there are no lockers and the bathrooms smell. Furthermore the hostel charges for towels, storage of bags for over 3 hours and offers an expensive laundry service. However that said, as one of the few places in Lurang Prabang that offers dorm beds, it is great value for the single traveller. Judy, from England ~ 2nd Feb 2013

Hostel tries to rip you off when you arrive by saying they don't receive a deposit from hostels.com. You can talk to them until your blue in the face and they are unhelpful + won't take the money off your bill. Cheaper to pay when you get there. Dorm was huge - no keys to get in was a pain as you had to ask to be let in the room when you come home late from the bar. The dorm was big enough for lockers - but there was nothing!!
