Had read very good reviews about the KGH - mostly based around its location and its services. These were both good. However, the basic service which was the rooms and comfort factor of the hotel itself was really poor. We were in 5 different rooms over a 8 day period. Every room was noisy and uncomfortable - the last room was like a prison cell. We also had to battle with reservations and deposits every time we came back to the hotel despite having print outs of reservations and desposits paid. They also overcharged us one night. Better to stay at another hotel and use the travel services at KGH as an external guest - dissapointing.

Can't beat the location. Economy rooms are alright, although general price level is quite high. It's more like a propper hotel then hostel/guesthouse.

Sorry, but Fun? Seems a weird way to classify a hotel. If you are asking whether the Hotel caters to those who might not yet have achieved the prime of middle age, (60 or more) then say so....

Staff were a bit sullen (except the maid who was chirpy!) and even after re-confirming in person a couple of days before, we still had problems with our booking. However, the place itself was charming and I am sure the high end deluxe rooms would be nice, we stayed in a twin 'standard' room, and it was fine, no frills, had a heater, very clean, no damp, lovely big extra blankets. The place is setup to take money from backpackers with everything you could need under one roof. Wifi is slow. Restaurant is also slow a little expensive and made us ill. But on the whole a good stay. Honestly ! :-)
