It's at least a 45 minute walk to the centre. We had one toilet between 32 with no lock and two showers with just a curtain. The rooms were really nice and friendly, and the beds were comfy, but the lighting was rubbish. You also have to pay for linen. The area's slightly dodgy, very few tourists and the locals kept shouting things at us. But it's cheap and comfy, with a really sociable lounge area.

I totally recommend this hostel, really cool place, helpful and friendly staff. Even staying in a bedroom with more 15 people it wasn´t uncomfortable because the bedroom was huge. And also the price, was the best and cheapest hostel i ever stayed in.
I really recommend this hostel, it has a very nice atmosphere and we met a lot of great people there. Nothing to complain about.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, they were happy to keep your valuables secure free of charge and gave you a free beer on entry. There were plenty of books for reading up on planning your time in Berlin.
