I read some of the comments on this board, and I thought to myself that all these people complaining about uncleanliness and whatever must be either prissy or must never have stayed in a hostel before. But, it is all true: I\'ve stayed in many hostels, including cheap dumps in the Middle East, but this is by far the dirties I\'ve seen. My room had not been cleaned, there was garbage all over the floor, and the sheets had not been changed in god knowns how long. Otherwise, the place is okay, but I would advise you to avoid arriving here at night, especially if you are alone (and to not even think about it if you are a woman). Palermo is not exactly a safe city, and this is perhaps the shadiest neighbourhood of them all--I never felt as afraid as when I was walking to this hostel at 9 pm through the lonely, poorly lit streets filled with shady characters.

Stayed here with my boyfriend in mid august.. horrible place! The neighbourhood was very dodgy, rooms small ugly and didn't have a shower and shared showers were disgusting. The staff is slow (it took us an hour to check-in) and the noise in the yard went on until wee hours so if you still plan to stay here bring your earplugs. The place is a school dorm and the turning it into a hostel is somekind of student project. I would not stay here ever again I was so happy to go home the next day.

A clean, safe, friendly place to sleep. Centrally located near the Palermo Centrale. A little hard to find, streets poorly marked, but once there, top notch!

Average but tiny rooms, not perfectly clean and certainly not ideal if you\'re looking for a quiet place: we had to leave windows opened because it was a very hot day/night (and there is no air conditioning) and there was very loud music and party shouts until at least 4 AM. I would have found it OK with a lower rate (for ex 25/30€ per night) but for the same price (43€), we found a much better place in the centre.(palazzo savona).

At the bar was so much fun, the staff is great (good english). The negative point I have is that they almoust never cleaned the room...for the rest, great hostel
