Our overall stay was pleasant. The room was nice, quite small but cosy. Our main problem was the intimidation from the cleaning staff my girlfriend felt when on her own in the hotel. She was going to our room on her own after breakfast, when two male cleaning staff starred at the room key, read out the number and laughed out load and then blocked her from entering the lift. She felt humiliated and intimidated by them. She brought the problem up with the front desk that completely ignored her until I interjected and raised my voice. Even then they wouldn't admit there was a problem and swept it under the carpet.

I wouldn't recommend booking through Pushkar camp retreat. When we arrived in Pushkar the camp did not exist!!! We rang the number in Delhi and they told us that the camp site had not been secured for the 2006 fair and that we had been relocated to a so called 'Krishna' camp run by a different company.Nobody emailed us or contacted us in any way to inform us of these changes. The Krishna camp was 4kms out of Pushkar in the middle of nowhere with no transport provided. Krishna camp had their own brochure with prices less than half of what we had been asked to pay on Hostelworld. The camp looked NOTHING like any of the photos and there is no way that we would recommend anyone to stay there. We were not the only people this happened to as others turned up and left straight away. It was all very disappointing as we were left with no accommodation in the middle of the busiest time of the year in Pushkar. DO NOT BOOK TENTS THROUGH THESE PEOPLE!
