The beds where far too uncomfortable and we never saw a trace of a swimmingpool. The staff did not speak any english.

Clean, spacious, light & airy apartment style room with a balcony in an apartment block above a restaurant. Not really a hostel feel but lovely to have own space. Option to hire cooking equipment and cheap use of washer/dryer in reception. New hostel with very nice young owners also setting up shop business when we stayed, so inexperienced but very sweet, friendly, attentive and helpful new reception staff member. Good laptop internet access via cable in room. Went with owners & staff for a really nice local street seafood BBQ. Plenty of street cafes if you don't mind the rats. Watched restaurant staff below apartment playing rat hockey with a dustbin lid & shovels! Nice Japanese restaurant over road en route to the "spa" & swimming pool in gated community. Cheap tickets from reception but check opening times & use of hot water pool (spa) closed when we went. Swimming hats sold as obligatory but Chinese arrived at sunset and no-one wore them. Hostel not central as on an island north of central Haikou but simple bus or 15-20 min walk over bridge to the centre.

it really surprise me that their beautiful linen has blooming scent:) the hostel is near the beach, bar street, "delicious food street", one big university nearby provides the hostel many advantages.. i like their style, like living in my own little home: comfortable, easy, very good design... people there are very hospitable, speak good english, we taste local food together... they also help me to book tickets, provide travel information..really happy time spent there, great place. BTW, the local BBQ nearby is great! and restaurant nearby could provide 24h room service, haha. i like there...
