all round you get what you pay for. although it looks like a hospital, the staff are accommodating and it isnt hard to reach the city centre (dont bother paying for your tram tickets, there are no inspectors). cheap drinks during happy hour is also a plus. would highly recommend for those on a budget, breaky is included afterall!

Good breakfast, lots of people like 1000 beds, good for meeting friends. Lot of youth so if you're looking for a quiet place to sleep look else where. Party in Berlin goes on until 6 in the morning! :D I read that the location was out of town. But I think it was good if you stay 4 nights as I did at least if your just there for two nights maybe look for something closer but it's a maximum of 20 min with the s-bahn to all good places you need to go.

Not a bad place to stay if you're looking for a younger crowd and a small but entertaining bar scene. Generator is in a great location, so its super easy to get to anywhere you'd want to go. I recommend it.
Very nice and clean hostel, about as clean as a regular hotel! Little way out of the city, walking to Alexanderplatz will take you about an hour. At the time we were there, there were a lot of schoolgroups wich was a bit of a shame. Had a lot of fun there nonetheless, very cheap cocktails in happy hour!
