YHF2000 is at 10-15minutes walk from SMN train station. All our rooms are private, ensuite and provided with AC (at extra charge). Come and join us!
At YHF2000 there is no curfew but you MUST check-in by 7:30pm. Reception is CLOSED from 7:30pm to 7:00am. When closed we do NOT check guests in. If you are not able to check-in by 7:30pm you MUST call us before 7:30pm. If one of us is available we will check you in at an extra charge.

We booked a private room so we had our own very nice bathroom, our own keys and no worries about security. Air conditioning is available for a fee, as is internet. It's not exactly in town, but on a good bus route and a nice walk to nearby sites. The one major drawback is that this "hostel" offers absolutely no cooking facilities - not even a fridge or a community microwave - which we found to be rather strange and disappointing, especially considering the cheap and relatively high quality grocery stores nearby. It was definitely a nice place to stay, but it's not going to help you with your food budget or give you a place to keep a cold drink on a sweltering day.
I enjoyed staying at the hostel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only negative was the location which was slightly out of the centre of Florence. But I enjoyed my stay and would go back there when I visit Florence again.

I enjoyed my stay very much here, the staff were really helpful, and Simone was the most helpful person I have ever met in any hotel situation. She was also a genuinely friendly person. I really felt my stay at this hostel made me feel that my hostel was a home away from home. Thanks guys... Heinz.

This place is very, very far away from the city center and is not worth the walk. They say it´s a 10 minute walk, but we walk fast and it was still around 20 minutes. Also, they had a high school trip staying there so the only people we saw were 15 - 17 year olds running around, not very fun.

its on the other side of the river from central florence, but its an easy 5-10minute bus ride away...you could walk it but its a bit of a treck... the staff was very friendly and very helpful, the rooms were very clean, if i went to florence again i would stay there
