A nice regular hotel with japanese style rooms, although is made for more local travellers (english speakers may find it a bit difficult). Good for single traveller who wants to be close to the action of Dotombori area. Take subway or walk through underground shopping mall (namba walk) from Namba station arriving at Nipponobashi St and the hotel is just 5 mins walk (just after the river bridge on your right).

We didn\'t really intend to go there for fun. It\'s more a place just to relax if you have been travelling for a while. It\'s also on the pricey side but the location makes up for it!

It's more spacious than most hostels, even better than a hotel room! I was pleasantly surprised.
This place is second to none. Located downtown near lots of restaurants and shops, as well as what I would call the bar district. The honten is very nice and the staff is great. It was a little tricky to find as the sign for it is in Japanese (located on the corner next to the river). The public bath was very nice and a great place to relax. I originally booked a room with a shared bathroom, but was given a room with a private bath...definately would recommend

Yamatoya Honten is conveniently located next to Dotonbori Street, in the heart of Osaka. The best thing about this Japanese-style inn is that it is also located outside the district, so you can have a great nights rest without the excess noise, while having instant access to the shopping networks of dynamic Osaka.
