Washington International Student Center is a small, friendly hostel located in Adams Morgan, a popular, vibrant area of Washington DC with plenty of bars, clubs and restaurants. The White House and the city's other attractions can be easily reached by public transport or on foot.

We have private rooms and dormitories plus amenities including a kitchen, internet access, lockers, air conditioning and a common room with cable television. Breakfast is included in the rates. Free parking is available for the first night, subject to a security deposit. We also offer a free pick-up service from Greyhound and Amtrak.

Reception/check-in: 08:00-23:00
We do not have a curfew.

Check in is from 8:00am - 11:00pm. If you arrive after 11:00pm you will have to wait until 8:00am. No smoking in the hostel. Sheets and blankets are provided for free. No sleeping bags are allowed. Wireless is avalible and free. Bread, juice, milk, tea, jam in the morning is free.

If you have the choice, don\'t stay there. I booked it last minute because there was no more beds available at Hostelling International. The staff asks too many private questions, the linens and pillows are disgusting. I was in a mixed dorm but ended up sleeping in the common room because it was actually all male and one of the guys just took my bed. Plus, the staff took off all my sheets while I was away during the day, without notification. I had to ask for other linens. Annette, from France ~ 26th May 2012

Not bad at all. Will go back.. There is A/C.. It is difficult to find the hostel since it is hiding between restaurants.. If you are sensitive, do not go there. There is a night club downstairs, which will make you unable to sleep easily if your eyes are not heavy enough. The location is more than excellent. However, you need to walk for 10 mins to reach subway station on the other side of the bridge... Many of guests are living in that place... Do not expect a lot of tourists like you...
