Elephant Backpacker is located at the heart of Sydney, just a few minutes' walk from the harbour and the city centre.

We have private rooms and dormitories equipped with lockers, fans and heaters. Facilities include comfortable common areas, a guest kitchen and internet access, and we also offer an entertainment programme with activities including crab racing, karaoke, rooftop wine and cheese nights and pub crawls.

Stays of 3 nights or more receive a free welcome pack.

This was definitly not a hostel I would recommend. At the check-in the staff was arrogant and almost offended that we wanted to check in before 1pm. The common facilities were dirty. You have to pay a deposit to get cuttlery and after two days the keycard reader to our room wasn\'t working anymore. Stefan, from Australia ~ 22nd May 2012

The sinks and the toilets were blocked, I didn\'t get the room I booked & in the room the trash was piled up the wall! I slept in a bed with dirty sheets, we had bedbugs which were biting and I was glad & relieved when I changed the Hostel after two yucky nights! Mona, from Germany ~ 8th May 2012
