Diamond Diggers Safe, clean, fun accommodation, Situated just a hop from the airport this cultural cosmopolitan hub should not be missed. This friendly lodge offers great discounted tours including, Kruger Park safari, Soweto, apartheid museum to name but a few -and did we mention the Jo burg view?

It is important to know that the perception that Johannesburg is a dangerous location is really exaggerated - if anything, crime levels over the past couple of years have subsided and is predominantly restricted to certain areas. Diamond Diggers is situated in the peaceful suburb of Kensington where it is safe to commute and walk to the different attractions. The Hostel is one of the closest to the new 'Johannesburg Gautrain' station - a recently developed high speed train network.

This was a well managed hostel with friendly staff. Security here was excellent and the staff are well-informed on activities in Southern Africa. The hot water showers were excellent. If I come back to Johannesburg I would be happy staying here again. Ryan, from USA ~ 2nd May 2012
