Pal's hostel is not a regular hostel, but a chain of studio apartments in the center of Budapest around the St. Stephen's Basilica. If you favour privacy and want to stay at a place that feels just like home, come to Pal's Hostel and enjoy your own well-equipped apartment in Budapest.
We offer separate apartments as en-suite rooms and one private room within our office for a lower budget stay.
Enjoying the privacy of your own apartment doesn't mean you have to miss our personal attention, we have an office on St. Stephen's Square and our staff will be glad to help you planning your stay, giving information and an individual view on Budapest.
Check-ins take place in our office in Hercegprímás street no 2. 6th floor, doorbell no 44. Office regularly open from 10am to 18pm. To make your check-in as convenient as possible, we are going to contact you for detailed information on your arrival - eg. train or flight details - a few days in advance.
Please note that our check-in time is from 14:00 only. If you arrive before that you can lock up your luggage or wait in our office.
We also offer airport transfers (for a fee of 20 EUR for up to 4 persons: this means 5 EUR per person, while public transport is about 3 EUR per person). Contact our staff for details.
Please do also note that we can not accept credit card payments and that the remaining balance has to be paid in cash.
The hostel is in the very downtown of Budapest, within walking distance of the "Soho of Budapest' - Opera House, plenty of theatres and music clubs and a wide-ranging choice of restaurants, cafés and pubs.
Traditional sight-seeing spots like Heroe's Square or Buda Castle are also within easy reach and the Danube is only 5 minutes by foot.
It is the ideal base for exploring Budapest's sights and night life, in a beautiful and calm area.
This is not a party hostel.
Our rooms/apartments are in different buildings (very close to each other:)). There are also local residents living in these buildings. Please mind their sleep. Don't be loud after 10 pm. You can have parties in 500 meters:)
Our reception desk opens from 10 am to 6 pm. But you can check-in at the evening or at night as well. We'll contact you for detailed information of your arrival to estimate your check-in time:)
