La posada del sueco is a lovely exotic, romantic little hostel/ hotel in front of the beach in Ecuador, a unforgettable vacational hideaway from it all with an relaxing/tranquil environment.
Our property has a lovely tropical garden with many variations of exotic flowers, cactuses and different fruit trees. The beach house, cabins and rooms is built in European style design, built in hand made bricks and wood with small stylish ceramics, roofs are covered with exotic dried palmleavs.

If you are looking for a resting time, la posada del Sueco offers you our hammock house over looking the beach or use our relaxing swimming pool surrounded by tropical flowers with a fountain waterfall. But if what you are looking for, is a little more party time, you can also drink a refreshing cocktail or a cold beer in our little rustic music bar built in wood and bamboo, meanwhile you also enjoy a great view over the beach and ocean. In the evening you can enjoy a nice family time barbequing together in our big covered BBQ area overlooking the tropical garden and pool. Next to it we also have cold pool showers and a toilet.
La Posada del sueco is located in Playas, next to Pacific Ocean, where you can find very long beaches, but this one is particularly long, more than 16 kilometers makes it one of the longest ones in the country. The temperature and moister, the sun and the wind, as much as the warm ocean water all over the year made Unesco to select this town as the second best weather in the world a few years ago.
Playas is not far from one of the two international airports in Ecuador, located in Guayaquil, we are just one hour of distance driving your car through a brand new high way. Once in Playas you have a new super mall with different stores, restaurants,cinema theaters, pharmacy etc and in the center you have hospital, Fish and fruit market and taxis. By the beach there are many small restaurants with Ecuadorian typical local food mostly coming fresh from the ocean 7 days a week.
As most re creative and sport activities here, you can find very good surfing spots or you can rent a horse and ride on the beach enjoying a lovely romantic sunset on the enormous endless beach for an hour or longer for around $10. Or maybe relax your body and enjoy the beach on sun chairs and parasol for $3 -$8 for a day.
Never need to be worried about you vehicle, we also have safe parking with full security and maintains. As an service we also have Wi Fi over all the property and cable TV in all rooms.
"La Posada Del Sueco" is located 2 km outside a town called Playas general Villamil in the direction to Posorja. Guayaquil is the nearest large city, about 90 kilometres away and takes about 1 hour by taxi. You can catch one to either Playas, and then take a local taxi to the Km2 via a Data Bellavista. (There is a small sign marking la posada del sueco , the cost is $1). Then you go in to the right and at the next corner turn to the right again. And the second house on the left side you have La posada Del Sueco with the Swedish flag on the roof and a sign.
Taxi: $30-$50 (agree on the price first)
Busses: $2.50
By car or taxi, the trip takes about 1 hour.
If you take the bus, it can take 2.5 hours.
Busses leave every few minutes from Guayaquil bus station (which is conveniently located across the street from the airport).
NOTE: non smoking in rooms.
