Pensione Ottaviano was established in 1956 and is designed for backpackers. We’re located only metres from St.Peter's Square and from the windows there’s a clear view of St.Peter's Dome.
We’re close to the main sights, which are all within walking distance. Our location has several transportation options (underground, buses, etc.).
We offer shared and private rooms with free bed linen and freehot showers.
Relax in our lounge where you can find satellite TV, DSL Internet access and a DVD/DVX player. There’s also books containing information and maps as well as a free book exchange.
Guests can use our free luggage storage and free individual lockers; please bring your own padlock.
There’s information stands plus a Laundromat and other essential services.

Please note that the city tax (tassa di soggiorno) of €2 per person per day is not included in the rates and shall be added to your balance upon arrival. This should be paid in cash to the hostel. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience. Check-in: 7000 to 2230 only. Reservations which indicate an arrival time after 2230 shall be immediately cancelled. You must arrive and check in no later than three hours from your indicated arrival time and before the indicated 22.30 deadline or else your reservation is automatically cancelled as a 'no-show' and your card will be debited for the first night's stay. Cancellations must be made only by email at least 24hours (1 day) prior to your arrival date. If adequate notice is not received, we will unfortunately have to debit your card. The amount charged will be your first night's accommodation. Phone cancellations are not accepted. We do not permit changes or alterations of the original booking. To alter or change your reservation, you must cancel the original reservation and rebook once again. We do not accept reservation changes or alterations by e-mail or by phone. We do not refund the difference if you notify us upon or after check-in that you wish to shorten your stay. Payment is due upon arrival in cash only, please. nice people , you can trust them about your staff but the bathroom is poor and internet wifi is very poor so you can't connect from your bed , also there is no electricity in the room if you want to charge your phone you have to go to salon Fahad, from Kuwait ~ 21st Mar 2013

Good location and friendly staff and chill atmosphere. But bring slippers for the showers and don't expect privacy there, it's shared common showers just behave with respect and knock on the door first before entering otherwise there's a chance you might stumble on someone getting dressed. For the rest it's near a metro station so very handy location. They have lockers to leave your stuff behind but you need to bring your own lock. Sai Ning, from Belgium ~ 14th Feb 2013
