Dulan 102 in Taitung, Taiwan

It has a cozy shoppe 'n lounge on the first floor that offers soul food and a place to meet.

The open style dormitories are above all very spacious and the big hand made wooden bunk beds offer your basic privacy and good sleeping comfort.

Overall, this colorful place has an artistic and warm friendly feel to it.

Dulan 102 is located in the very center of Dulan village right on the scenic Highway 11 opposite the 7/11. The Sugar Factory with its artists' cafe, little restaurants and souvenir shop is at a stones through away. A surf shop and the nearest beach are at less than 10 mins walking. Fugang harbour for the Green - and Orchid island ferry 10 mins on wheels. Jhipen hot springs 40 mins. Chenggong waterfalls and Sansientai 40 mins. Nearby attractions: water running up and Dulan mountain hike.

There are a garden view terrace (2F) and a sea view balcony (3F) available to guests. WiFi and battery charging points are available. Special group dinners, party- and incentive arrangements can be made on request.

The hostel can be entered through the shop or the separate side entrance. The 2nd floor back area has 3 bunk beds sleeping max 4 people - continuing past the bathroom area to front with 3 beds sleeping 5 max. Continuing up the stairs to the 3rd floor with 6 beds in the middle and front area for 10 people max - continuing past the bathroom area to the sea view room with balcony sleeping max 2 in an extra large bunk bed.
This early Dulan building has tall ceilings and thick walls and gives a spacious feeling. In the back of the 1st floor there are additional shower facilities and a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.

Sometimes there is acoustic live music in the 1F middle lounge area. If you know what you're doing you can grab a guitar or a hand drum or shaker

Dulan 102 is not in Taitung city but in Dulan village 20 kms north. Scooter rental in Taitung is difficult without a Taiwanese scooter driver's license. For rental in Taipei or Hualien the license is not an issue. Free bicycles are available from the police station. Dulan 102 has no real reception desk for check-in. If the shoppe on the first floor is not open there will be written welcoming instructions on the door and we'll see you later. 10 pm noise shut down policy.
