Tauranga Central Backpackers is the place to be!!
The warm and friendly ambiance is set in the reception where you can book activities or find information about the area. We always try our best to assist with finding work opportunities for our guests.
Inside the hostel the emphasis is on comfort, space and light, flowing all the way from the internet cafe through to the TV lounge and reading area to the large and fully equipped kitchen. Our web cafe is open late so you can relax, and surf the net at your convenience!
Full laundry facilities are available, while the fresh and bright bathrooms boost continuous hot water.
In total there are 58 beds, which consist of double rooms and 4, 6, and 8 bedded dorms. Ther is a large clean kitchen and lounge room.
Tauranga has a lot to offer with the beautiful beaches, diving, surfing, swimming with the dolphins and fishing tours, along with the native walkways.
The hostel is located in the heart of the city, only 100 metres away from the visitors centre, bus stop, grocery shopping, bars and clubs.

We stayed one night at Tauranga Central Backpackers and we woudn't recommend it to anybody!!! The rooms were really dirty and stinky, they haven t had a window either. We also actually booked into a female dorm but almost ended up in a another room! Nadine, from Germany ~ 31st Oct 2012
