Vedanta Wake up! India's finest chain of backpacking hostels, was conceived to address the primary concerns of backpackers and budget travelers.
Our rooms are designed keeping comfort and cleanliness in mind. We offer shared 6-bed mixed and 6-bed female dormitory rooms as well as superior private rooms for families.
PERFECT LOCATION
Vedanta Wake up! on the sunny cliffs, Varkala, is an exclusive hostel with beautifully landscaped gardens. It is 2 minutes away from the golden sands of Helipad beach, Black beach, Papanasam beach and all the shops, restaurants, and bars located on the Cliff.

We offer free Wi-Fi, linen, towels, duvets, hand soap and toilet paper. We also provide 24 hrs hot water supply.
ORGANIC BAMBOO HUTS
Our eco-friendly Organic Bamboo Huts are wonderfully hand crafted for an earthy living experience. The rooms are air conditioned and well maintained with one very comfortable double bed, a flat screen television, a coffee table, and an ensuite bathroom.
DELUXE DOUBLE ROOMS
Our Deluxe Double rooms are air conditioned and well maintained with one very comfortable double bed, a flat screen television, a coffee table, and an ensuite bathroom.
DELUXE 6-BED MIXED DORMITORY
Our Deluxe 6-bed mixed dormitories are air conditioned and well maintained with 6 very comfortable bunk beds. One mixed dormitory has an ensuite bathroom and the other mixed dormitory has its bathroom located immediately outside the room and is equally convenience to access.
DELUXE 6-BED FEMALE DORMITORY
Our Deluxe 6-bed female dormitory is air conditioned and well maintained with 6 very comfortable bunk beds and an ensuite bathroom. It is for our female guests only.
COMMUNAL LOUNGE
At Vedanta Wake up!, we offer you an environment to meet fellow travelers in our common lounge which is fully equipped with free Wi-Fi, a flat screen tv, movies, book exchange libraries, guitars, board games, maps and eateries.
Our snack bar will provide you with hygienic and sumptuous meals cooked by our in-house chefs any time of the day at a very minimum charge.
SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
We encourage our guests to socialize and get to know each other through local bar crawls, sight-seeing trips, dinner outings, movie nights, karaoke nights and other fun activities almost every day (and there�s no curfew!)
TOURS AND TRAVELS
We provide assistance in arranging local tours and visits to nearby tourist attractions so that our guests can soak in the sights and sounds and have a memorable holiday experience. We also organize classes such as yoga and ayurvedic massages.

we stayed in one of the bamboo huts next door to the main house. it was clean and quiet. the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. unni was a kind host.location was great we were able to walk to everything (beach, temples, restaurants, supermarket) in the cliff area very easily. recommend. amy, from USA ~ 14th Jan 2013
