When you are coming by train
We have three main train stations called Keleti, Nyugati and Dli.
Due to the Metro constructions there are some different descriptions in our flyers. We are sorry for the inconvenience and please follow the right directions below:
From Keleti trainstation we are about 15-20 minutes walk if you follow the directions properly.
Exit the train station via the main exit, beneath the big arched windows. Turn left outside and walk towards the 'Golden Park Hotel'. Cross the street and turn right, walking past the hotel, in the direction of the bridge/overpass at the end of the street. Cross underneath the bridge/overpass, staying on the main road past the CBA supermarket. You are now on Rakoczi ut., follow this road for approximately 750m until you reach the major intersection called Blaha Luzja Ter (you'll see the tram lines). Turn left at this intersection and head towards the McDonalds, you are now on Josef Korut. Cross over the main road (with the tram lines) at the crossing in front of McDonalds and turn left. Follow this road (Josef Korut) for approximately 400m. Turn right at the 2nd street Kolcsey Utca, there's a small pub called 'Suszterinas' on the corner. At the next intersection, continue straight past the small square, keeping it on your right hand side. We are the second building (the light grey one with 2 large statues on the 3rd floor) on the right, #46. Our door is the brown one in between the bookstore (konyvsbolt) and hair salon (hajstudio). Dial #23 on the intercom at the door and we'll let you in. Reception is on the 1st floor, up one flight of stairs.
From Nyugati we are about 10 minutes by tram:
Exit the train station via the main exit and head to the tram stop. You want to catch tram #4 or #6 going left (away from the overpass). Make sure to validate your ticket on the tram. Get off the tram at the 5th stop, called 'Rakoczi Ter'. Cross the street (away from the large construction site) and walk down Kolcsey Utca (next to the small pub Suszterinas on the corner). Continue down this street past the square, keeping it on your right hand side. We are the second building (the light grey one with 2 large statues on the 3rd floor) on the right, #46. Our door is the brown one in between the bookstore (konyvsbolt) and hair salon (hajstudio). Dial #23 on the intercom at the door and we'll let you in. Reception is on the 1st floor, up one flight of stairs.

Head to the Metro one level below the main train station and take any train (they only go in one direction from here). Make sure to validate your ticket at the escalator. Get off at Astoria (5th stop). Exit at the top of the escalators and turn left, you want to take the stairs up marked 'Muzuem Korut'. At the top of the stairs you will see a Burger King ahead of you. Follow this road approximately 300m until the 1st street on the left. You will see the gardens of the Museum in front of you and the 'Muzeum Cafe' on the corner; this is our street, Brody Sandor Utca. Follow our street, with the musuem gardens on your right hand side, approximately 500m. We are the 2nd last building on the left, #46, just before the square in between the hair salon (Hajstudio) and bookstore (Konyvsbolt). Dial #23 on the intercom at the door and we'll let you in. Reception is on the 1st floor, up one flight of stairs.

2. When you are coming by bus
From the International Coach Terminal 'Npliget' you can get into our hostel within 20 minutes by metro and an easy walk.
Please keep in mind that you have to use a ticket or pass to use public transportation. Tickets are available at yellow ticket-machines, newspaper-stores and metro offices. One single ticket costs 320HUF(1.25EUR). Those who don't use tickets can be fined by 6000HUF(22EUR).
From the bus terminal you can get to the metro through the underpass. Choose the one in direction to 'jpest-Kzpont'. Get off at 'Klvin tr' which is the 4th stop, then turn left at the top of the escalator. Walk straight ahead, then take the stairs on the left marked Mzeum krt. Keep walking ahead, then turn to the right after the National Museum's garden (2nd street on the right).
Now you should be on Brdy street, follow it for nearly 500m. We are the 2nd last building on the left just before the square, #46, in between the hair salon (Hajstudio) and bookstore (Konyvsbolt). Dial #23 on the intercom at the door and we'll let you in. Reception is on the 1st floor, up one flight of stairs.
3. If you would come by plane
Please contact the hostel if you need to be collected from the airport.
If you want to make your own way to get to the hostel, we would recommend you three other options from the airport, which is taxi, the airport-minibus service or public transportation.
Present days the cost of airport-minibus is 2490HUF(10EUR)/person for one way, which is worth if you have lots of luggages and you travel alone. Otherwise an official taxi can be cheaper, as they have fixed fares from the airport, and the taxi goes to one address, while the minibus delivers several passengers. If I convinced you about the comforts of use a taxi, please read the advices below about taxies.
By public transportation we are about an hour using the airport-bus and metro from the airport.

Between the terminal 2 and 2A, there is a bus stop for the Airport-Bus, which is a service of the Budapest Transport Company known as BKV.
It is a public vehicle, so you should punch a ticket for using this transportation.
Tickets are available at newspaper-stores, metro stations, ticket-machines from the street and from the bus-driver in cases.
If you buy a ticket from the driver, please check if it wasn't validated before.
After getting on the bus please ensure you've punched your ticket, so you won't be fined. Ride on the bus until it lasts, then you'll be on 'Kbnya-Kispest'.
Validate a new ticket again, then take a metro until 'Klvin tr' (8th stop), then turn left right after the escalator. Walk straight ahead, then choose the left exit to upstairs (Mzeum krt.). Keep walking ahead, then turn to the right after the National Museum's garden (2nd corner to right).
Now you should be on Brdy street, search for #46, which is the last gate on the left, just before the square. Our entryphone number is #23, we welcome you on the first floor.
4. Whenever you want to take a taxi
Usually the taxies are not expensive, if I talk about the large companies. But you should definitely avoid private cabs, they are 'official pickpockets', they can ask horrible amounts for few kilometers. Usually it is cheaper if you call one by phone. Every taxi should have a fare list on the rear window.
