This is my story of a trip to a city called Domburg in Holland. I was living in Germany with my girlfriend and her son at the time and we decided to rent a car and drive to the sea in Holland. So we went and rented a car and headed out to the sea. It took about 4 hours to get there, the drive was fun with no hassles and the roads were better then in the USA.

Well we got into Holland and we were about 20 minutes from the town of Domburg. We were trying to think of where we would stay for the night and didn't want to spend to too much money on a motel room so as we were driving along this kind of back road. I asked my girlfriend if there were any hostels. She thought about this for a while and looked at a map of hostels in the area, answering my question with a 'no!' Well what did I see not 10 minutes away but a sign somewhat hidden behind some trees a sign with a symbol of a hostel house and leaning tree!

I nearly missed the driveway but with a good driver and good brakes I made it! We pulled in and they had something going on so there were a lot of people there. We prayed that we would get a room for the night. We parked the car and tried to find this hostel, we asked a few people and they directed us to a bridge that lead to an old Castle. I told my girlfriend that this would be a cool hostel! Guess what? IT WAS!!

We checked in and we had gotten the last rooms for the night. Talk about luck. We got our room keys and headed up to our rooms. Just walking thru the corridors made you feel like you were stepping back in time. We got to our room and found 6 nice bunk beds but we were the only people there. So we decided to check out the castle, it had a huge garden in the back and even had a moat surrounding the outer wall which was very COOL!

Then after checking the castle out it was time for the beach. We drove for about 10 min and we could smell the ocean. AAHHH what a great smell? We parked the car and walked up the sand dune and what do we see? THE OCEAN!!!
