When it comes to hostels in Fiji, you won't find big chains like YHA, Base or Nomads. All the hostels here are independently owned. Hostels.com currently works with around 85 of these properties.
The main difference between hostels in Fiji and hostels elsewhere, is that here the prices per night tend to include meals and activities. This is because many of these hostels, especially the properties on the smaller islands, are located in remote areas where you can't just pop out to the shops for food. It means that prices per night are a bit higher than with other hostels.
