OK. Nice bedroom, broken bathroom door. The location is OK if you have a car, otherwise, it's all wrong (but maybe LA in general is, too). The room was good and clean. We didn't see any other guests. The "light continental breakfast" was juice and donuts. Eat elsewhere. Erik, from USA ~ 19th Jan 2012

The heater burned out while we were asleep and we could have choked. We changed to another room where the window lock was broken. It is located in Inglewood but on the website it says Los Angeles. Old tv and other facilities. saulo r g, from Brazil ~ 11th Jan 2012

Great value for money. Big clean rooms with everything you need. Staff extremely helpful except for shuttle driver who kept trying to charge me more money than the hostel said I should pay. Good if you need to be close to LAX otherwise not a safe neigborhood for sight-seeing. Rosalind, from England ~ 15th Jan 2012

I truly enjoyed this motel/hostel. It's a member of the Choice Motels, which says a LOT. I'm convinced that the review about there being tape on the window and a warning sign in the room was a fictitious story made up by a competing motel, because NONE of it is true except that "fearful" people might associate the neighborhood with others elsewhere that WERE dangerous. I'm almost 80-yrs old, and found NOTHING fearful going on around this well-managed motel. Jaffra, from USA ~ 4th Aug 2011

Good living for a very good price. Maybe a little difficult with connections after 8 pm. Nice and helpful staff. Evelina, from Sweden ~ 30th Jul 2011

I stayed in the hostel on san francIsco not los angeles. The staff was very well informed about activities around SF and how to get there, they were very helpfull and capae. The security was very good as well and I liked the privacy you have in the dorms vecause of the cover next to the bed. Alexa, from Switzerland ~ 29th Jul 2011

The hotel when you book has a different name to the one which is on the sign outside, so no taxi drivers knew where abouts it is. The area is not a safe area. In the room is a card telling guests you must bolt windows and doors shut and not answer to anyone. If someone does knock and claim to be from reception you have to ring and check. Our window was 'secured' with sellotape. Not a good feeling about this place so we paid and left. The 10 police cars we heard within an hour gave no reassurance verity, from England ~ 23rd Jul 2011
