Ensuite bathrooms were horrible. They seemed a bit like those bathrooms that construction sites have. Hopefully these are just temporary and they will change them. Apart from that and the price over the weekend everything was good. There was plenty of space, the beds were comfortable, it was warm enough. The breakfast was good. I recommend this hostel!! it was so close ( five minutes walk) from the train station and was very convenient.the hostel was very clean and the staff was helpful. breakfast was nice, not only toast but there were hot chocolate, caffe-latte and fruits. definitely a great hostel to stay in York! Being a boutique hostel, the interiors are very good. Cleanliness wouldn't be a problem. The location is quite good as it is just a few minutes walk from the train station. The only problem with this hostel is that it has a bar just next door to it so there is a lot of commotion uptill 12:30. The staff could be much more friendlier. This hostel was AWESOME!!! It is super close to the train station and down town York. We were able to walk everywhere touristy within minutes. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the building itself was GORGEOUS!!! The beds were very comfy, the rooms were spotless, and I loved the fact we had decent sized lockers under our beds. The lounge area in the basement was pretty relaxing as well, and it was relatively cheap to use the internet and contact home. I will be back here 100% for sure. Aimee, from Canada ~ 2nd Sep 2011

This hostel has alot of character and is nicely situated close to town. The hostel has all the amenities like kitchen and free wifi. They have a nice breakfast with other guests in their 20s. Overall the common areas seemed a bit dirty. The rooms, 12 people with one bathroom. I had to wait 30 minutes for a girl to get out of the shower. But overall, it was a nice hostel.
