Really nice hostel! Its very beautiful!The showers are nice. Clean and lovely juices in the morning at breakfast. The older guy at the desk can be a bit cranky somethimes. This hostel seems to attract nice people too, I can definitly recommend Alegria! Merel, from Netherlands ~ 23rd Oct 2011

This was my favourite hostel in all of South America!Staff was so helpful, atmosphere was perfect, private rooms were GORGEOUS for the unbelievable price (if you can afford it, get a private room), kitchen is fully equipped, location is excellent and somehow it just seems to attract amazing people (who we met there).Wifi, cable TV and internet all so useful - I wanted to stay in Bogota just for this place! I stayed in Alegria hostal in May 2011. There are two Alegria hostals in Bogota and i liked the second one (which is without sign "Alegria hostal") better. It provides free coffee/tea, internet, lockers free of charge. Location is absolutely great-in a amaizingly beautiful area and just 7 minutes walk to Plaza Bolivar. Good location, we stayed in big private room which was nice but right by the road and very noisey. Bathrooms not clean but hot showers. Cats climbing over tables where people eat and cook and keep pestering for food whilst eating. Overal an ok hostel. Staff friendly and helpful. Robert, from England ~ 3rd May 2011
