Bed and bathroom need renovation. I've found a giant cockroach in the toilet paper tube. Suzie seems nice but the other man is not really a welcomme enthusiast. Feel like in a old decadent british pension and not in a hostel. MARC, from France ~ 17th May 2012

I was nearly stranded in the middle of the night because I was told online that I had until 11:45PM to check in, but when I called, was told I had to be there by 11:30. In addition to not being able to check in between 12PM and 5. The limited check-in times alone are enough to reconsider staying here. The house was so dirty that I didn't shower there, the bathrooms were poorly supplied, the beds were uncomfortable, and the house was in poor repair. But, it's only ~$30. The place is old and with no facilities. You may think that is ok for the price, but after reserving 10% online, when you arrive to the place, they say that is a different price because it includes taxes, so that reservation simply disappears. That is nowhere explained in the web page. What is mentioned in the web page is that there is Wi-Fi included, but when you get there, they say you have to pay 5 dollars to get access. For tourists, every penny matters if you don't mind paying more, go. Astrid, from Colombia ~ 13th Apr 2012

The hostel is in a good location, on the outskirts of downtown near the Fox Theatre and North Drive MARTA station. It's a quieter, clean hostel unlike the crazy party ones on Miami Beach. What I remember best was the lady/proprieter Susie who was very nice.Gave me free internet, tips on Atlanta, and let me store my luggage on my final day in Atlanta.By the way Susie, I was able to make my Greyhound bus to Miami at midnight.I'll be sure to use your place again. I've been staying at this hostel for years when I'm in Atlanta on business. I'm generally satisfied with my stay. Since I'm there on business, I don't engage much in the social aspects of the hostel, but have enjoyed the brief interactions and conversations I've had with the other guests. After getting home from my most recent trip and reviewing paperwork, I think I was overcharged for my stay. It's only about six or seven dollars but still....every penny counts these days. Worst Hostel Ever.. Bad staff working in a dirt place. The bed are uncomfortable, the bathrooms are dirt, and the internet (that you have to pay $5 extras to use) sucks really bad. Diego, from Brazil ~ 17th Jan 2012

We chose this hostel because it was advertised that there was parking. When we got there, the staff notified us that there was no longer parking and we would have to find our own. So at 2am we were looking for parking, as no suggestions were made as to where there was parking by any of the staff. Hint, the next street over has free parking in a safe looking environment. Other than that, it was cold but good and we had to crawl into the tub and bend backwards to wash our hair:)
