The only negative point is the strict entrance policy. The should adopt a good doorcard-system, it was annoying to ring all the time the bell...
Hi! We don't think being strict with the people who enters the hostel is negative. Having to come and open the door every time a guest rings the bell is more annoying for us than for you, but it is the most secure way to keep the hostel. If you had your own key or card, how we know that somebody else is not entering the hostel behind you? How would you know this person is not going to try to steal sth. in the hostel, maybe from you?

This hostel is exactly the type I like to stay at. They have a central location, excellent security, and strict rules about noise-making, especially at night. They come around at 11pm and send everyone out of the common room, and will insist that the noise is down. Makes for a hostel that's not "fun" in the traditional hostel sense, but great for those who just want to sleep. Huge lockers for your stuff, friendly helpful staff. Unassuming from the outside but inside is a good setup, with the rooms and lots of bathrooms facing a common area and some nature-themed decorations around. nice atmosphere, centrally location, super cleanliness, very safe security, a lot of fun and lovely staffs (out of the noisy and unfriendly night staff on Wednesday and Saturday). Character: Neither or, cannot complain about it, but not special. Security: Did not always check my paper slip. Good lockers Location: Central enough, 5 min to nearest metro (Universitat). Staff: Friendly enough. Fun: Not much to do there actually, being a lone traveller. Cleanliness: Good for a hostel, but I can alway have it cleaner at home.
Hi! I am very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay here as much as most people do. But I want to clarify some things about your review: the fact that the staff did not always ask for your hostel identification does not mean that we are not aware of who is in the hostel or not or if you are a guest or not. We don't want to bother people asking for the ID so, if we know you because we have met before, we don't do it. About fun, we never say this is a party hostel but a quiet place. If you travel alone you must be open to contact the rest of the guests and I don't think this is our responsability. About cleanliness: of course your home might be cleaner than the hostel, but you probably don't live with more than 20 people using everything all the time.
