great showers!! very important to me. good hostel clean, organized. small number of beds in every room. easy to find. only problem: only one computer for internet. the hostess was very nice. unfortunately she gave me the wrong directions and I missed the ferry. overall good hostel. We stayed in a private room. Unfortunately it was right by the main staircase which meant it was a bit noisy, but that was the only downside. Everyone was nice and friendly, advising us on local eateries/streets to avoid, etc. The hostel was also nicely located enar to a the Main St. Sky train stop, and between downtown and Commerical Dr., which was a nice place to be. It was also close to the Science World ferry which meant we could come home easily from Granville island. Tess, from USA ~ 5th Oct 2009

Main street is not a good area, but is very close to the Greyhound/Via Rail station. We just needed somewhere to crash for 1 night between long bus journeys, and were pleasantly suprised by this hostel! We had a double room, which was spacious bunk beds, a sink (god send!) and a TV!! Really good value- but if you are looking to holiday in Vancouver, I'd go to a better area. EMILY, from England ~ 19th Jul 2009

It's across the road from the greyhound/viarail transit station which was great. However it was in a dodgy bit of town, single female travellers mightn't want to go out at night. But otherwise I felt perfectly safe. The staff were super nice and helpful. Just one thing ectra, the reception isn't open between 10pm and 8 am, and if you arrive late/early you have to go to the hostel across the road to get let in. Clare, from Australia ~ 29th Apr 2009
